Capacitors

The intention is to list the original capacitors of different computers and electronic devices as accurately as possible. I've always found it really annoying that no one tends to list the original capacitor brand, series, dimensions, and mounting type. It makes it impossible to look for new equivalent capacitors yourself without to having to note these things down personally.

Physical dimensions are important to have proper clearance with regards to other components and the chassis. The lead spacing is also important so the new capacitors can be mounted as is without having to modify the new capacitor leads. The brand and series of the capacitor is handy to try to get current modern series equivalent. Capacitor manufacturers sometimes have charts that show what a newer series is replacing but some digging may be required.

Last but not least, I'm a bit of an archivist, so I think it's important to note down and try to preserve the original state of things even if it's just a capacitor.
